Southwick Associates has announced the brands and products that hunters and target shooters preferred most in 2008. The list has been compiled from the 24,206 surveys completed last year. Following are some, but not all listed:
Top rifle brand: Remington (18.1 % of all purchases)
Top shotgun brand: Mossberg (29.9% of all purchases)
Top handgun brand: Smith & Wesson (18.4% of all purchases)
Top rifle ammunition brand: Remington (29.9% of all purchases)
Top shotgun ammunition brand: Winchester 35.7% of all purchases)
Top handgun ammunition brand: Winchester (26.1% of all purchases)

- Babbitt Conservation Club
- The Babbitt Conservation Club is a group of folks who are interested in shooting, hunting, and conservation. The group has regular meetings and fun events. Our purpose is to give back to the environment and to the communities where we exist. One of our community activities is sponsoring the Youth Firearms Training classes. Meetings are the second Tuesday of the month--April through October at 7:00 p.m. at the rifle range. Trap shooting Tuesday nights at 5:00 p.m. from June through September.
